Research visit in the University of Florence
Research visit to get acquainted with the Italian Landscape Catalog/National Register of Historical Rural Landscapes at the University of Florence, 9-13 December 2019. The plan of this research visit: 9th (Monday) December-arrival to Florence; 10th (Tuesday) December-study visit in Chianti region of Tuscany; 11th (Wednesday) December-seminar at the University; 12th (Thursday) December-seminar at the University; 13th (Friday) December-departure.
Under care of National Register of Historical Rural Landscapes at the University of Florence, the renovation of old, typical wine plantations started. The terraces with planting of wines resemble the old Italian landscape with typical agro-economy and scattered in between old Italian villas and palaces forming unforgettable place for tourists visits and regional wine tasting.
Research visit in the Iwkowa municipality
On July 19, 2019, the NAWA research team from the University of Agriculture in Krakow carried out the field research in the Iwkowa municipality. The team's work was led by prof. Józef Hernik. The coordinator of field research was dr inż. Barbara Prus. The composition of the team was supplemented by dr inż. Karol Król. The questionnaire survey was carried out with the commune authorities and leaders of local communities. We would like to thank Mr. Bogusław Kamiński — Mayor of Iwkowa, and representatives of local communities.
Research visit in the Municipal Office Brzesko
On July 18, 2019, the NAWA research team from the University of Agriculture in Krakow carried out the field research in the Brzesko commune. The team's work was led by prof. Józef Hernik from the Department of Land Management and Landscape Architecture. The coordinator of field research was dr inż. Barbara Prus. The composition of the team was supplemented by dr inż. Karol Król. The questionnaire survey was carried out with the commune authorities and leaders of local communities. Research visit in the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra
On July 8-10, 2019, prof. Józef Hernik (UR Kraków) participated in a research visit in the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra. The purpose of the trip was the consultation, necessary to prepare an international scientific project as part of the NAWA project, which is currently being realized. The consultation was attended by dr Tomasz Noszczyk (UR Kraków) and Anita Kukulska-Kozioł (UR Kraków).
